"In 1968, S. George Nelson and I started Saturday life drawing for adults in Eau Claire in my living room. It then moved to the UWEC in 1969 where life drawing was already being taught as part of the curriculum.  I taught along with Ed Fish, George Hagale and Ron Udy. We had three levels and it was a popular class. The Saturday sessions were for interested students and local professionals like me, Ed, Doc Smith, Andrea Cecchini and Barbara Shafer." Anders Shafer

"I want the viewers to feel the movement and hopefully feel the energy that was taking place just upstairs of Pablo Center.  The goal is to have a near floor to ceiling display of images, the eyes should be darting from section to section—much like the gesture drawings themselves.
